Lady Liberty says “cheers” to non-alc sales

Times are changing: A pair of bills in the state of New York would permit wine and liquor stores to sell non-alcoholic adult beverages for the first time. What a huge win for the Zero Proof community.

The Facts:

New York is one of 17 states that don't let wine and liquor stores sell non-alcoholic beer, wine, and liquor.
Sales of non-alcoholic beer, wine, and spirits went up by 35% in 2023, totaling over $565 million.
45% of drinking-age Gen Z have never had alcohol.

Walk away with this: The data continue to indicate that people are drinking much less, to the extent that the government is taking action. Bigly!

Joe Mazzulla, head coach for the Boston Celtics 2024 Championship team, has been sober for 12 years.
